About Us
Preserve Brick was established in 2019 as a local organization whose primary concern is the continuing well-being of our beautiful town. Preserve Brick is determined to serve as a source of information to Brick residents on local issues ranging from the preservation of open space property, the future development of land, and alerting residents of pending legislation.
Preserve Brick will continually provide reporting and analysis from local levels of government where the environment and issues relating to Brick quality of life are disturbed.
Dangers of Approval
01
Run off will impact the Metedeconk River.
02
Increase the amount of heavy industrial trucks within the area, creating more traffic, pollution and noise on our local streets.
03
Could decrease property values within the area due to consistent traffic from ongoing heavy construction vehicles.
04
Degrade Brick’s natural beauty and landscapes.
Current Undertakings
Brick Township is considering allowing Arcosa Asphalt plant to expand their plant's production. This plant is located on 429 Chambers Bridge Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08723. An expanded plant would allow for an increase in production, a variance for rural residential (RR-1) Zone, and depending on plant plans, a height variance for construction of 60-foot tall asphalt silos. Current plant is permitted to operate a 35-foot-tall silo.
